Well I survived my first Christmas and a New Year in Italy. I didn’t get to travel this break like I wanted to, mainly because the cost of traveling dramatically increased and a cold front set in all over Europe and has been snowing heavily throughout Europe.

so this past tuesday a friend and i decided we needed to get out of cosenza for a few days. so we researched a few cities and we chose to go to Pompei.

 For a small history lesson... in 79AD a local volcano erupted entombing the ancient city in dust. killing more then 4,000 people. The last time pompei erupted was in 1944. class dismissed.
