Admissions Checklist

What information do I need to submit?

So you've decided you would like to apply for admission, but you aren’t sure what additional information you need to provide to complete the admissions process. If you've graduated from high school, earned a GED/TASC, are eligible to take the GED/TASC, or are dually enrolled in high school and college, you’re ready to begin! Get started with classes now by submitting an application and some additional information. Below is a list of common admission types and the items you'll need to send us.

First-Time Student

If you are a student who has never attended another college and has earned a high school diploma or earned a GED/TASC, you’ll need to provide:

  • Application for Admission
  • Official high school/home school transcript or GED/TASC test scores (Official documents must remain in the original sealed envelope issued by the high school or Department of Education)
  • Placement scores, if applicable
  • Official college transcript (if college credit was earned during high school)

Transfer Student

If you are a student who has attended another college, but do not plan to return to that college, you'll need to provide:

  • Application for Admission
  • Official transcript(s) from the accredited college(s) you have previously attended
  • Placement scores, if applicable

Post Graduate

If you are a student who has completed a baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited institution and are pursing another degree at Pierpont, you'll need to provide:
 
  • Application for Admission
  • Official transcript(s) from the accredited college(s) you have previously attended
  • Placement scores, if applicable

Guest Student

If you are a student who would like to take classes at Pierpont you'll need to provide:

  • Application for Admission
  • Written permission from your college that they will accept the particular Pierpont course (If you are currently attending another college to earn a degree.)
  • Placement scores, if applicable

Early College Student

If you are a student who would like to earn college credit while still in high school, you'll need to provide:

  • Application for Admission
  • Current high school transcript with a GPA average of 3.0
  • Recommendation letter from your high school principal
  • Placement scores, if applicable

Competitive/Selective Programs

Some programs have specific application deadlines and limited admission. Please refer to your specific Program of Study to determine if additional items may be needed. A completed file for a competitive/selective program may include additional items such as:

  • Program Application (specific to academic program)
  • Non-refundable program application fee
  • Minimum placement score requirements (varies by program)
  • Seventh semester grades for high school applicants

Are there any other requirements?

All students born after January 1, 1957 are requested to submit immunization records with proof of the Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) vaccination prior to the start of classes.

The following immunizations are strongly recommended for all students enrolling at Pierpont, MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Meningococcal vaccine, Polio series, Tetanus-Diphtheria- Pertussis (Td and aP or Tdap within the past five years), Hepatitis A Vaccine, Hepatitis B Series, and the Varicella Vaccine (or history of chicken pox).

 Health Careers programs, Early Childhood and Food Service Management majors require immunizations to complete classes, practicums and internships. Please contact the program coordinators for additional information.

How do I track my application?

You may use your activated UCA (Unified Computer Account) to view the status of your application for admission and to monitor the receipt of credentials needed to complete your application. To obtain and activate your UCA, click here and follow the instructions for “Activate UCA.” Once the activation process is complete, log in to FELiX (Falcon Electric Information Exchange). There you will find information regarding your application under the “Admissions Issues” section.
