Pierpont Community & Technical College Board of Governors has officially launched a search for the institution’s third President with the release of the presidential position announcement and an invitation to applicants.

In adherence to Title 135 Legislative Rule of the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education Series 5 - Employing and Evaluating Presidents, the Board of Governors for Pierpont Community & Technical College established a Presidential Search Committee in September 2015.

The Presidential Search Committee consists of current members of the Pierpont Community & Technical College Board of Governors, and includes representation of faculty, students, and staff, as well as constituencies of the institution to serve as voting members of the Presidential Search Committee.  In the event that there is a change in one or more of the faculty, staff, and/or student representative(s) to the Board of Governors, the Presidential Search Committee membership may be modified or supplemented to assure continued compliance with Series 5 and the applicable rules of the Council.

The Board of Governors will work towards selecting a new President by the end of the 2016 Spring Semester. The search process will continue and may be extended for as long as necessary in order for the Presidential Search Committee to identify and hire the most qualified candidate for President. The Search Committee Chair and official spokesperson for the group is Board of Governors Chair, James E. Griffin of Bridgeport, WV.
