Point of Care Technician

The Point of Care Technician course prepares learners to work with biological samples and perform medical laboratory testing in near patient and medical laboratory settings. Learners will perform sample collection and various testing procedures in student laboratory sessions. Learners will be taught about medical laboratory regulations and industry-standard best practices. Point of Care Technicians are employed in hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.

Students receive a textbook and classroom supplies included in the course fee.

Upon completion of the training, students will be eligible to sit for the Point of Care Technician Licensure exam.

Exam cost is not included in the cost of the training tuition.

Training Cost: $1,000

Financial Aid is available for qualified applicants.
