Dr. Milan S. Hayward is the fourth president of Pierpont Community & Technical College. He began his appointment on June 21, 2023.

Prior to Pierpont, Dr. Hayward served as vice president of the School of Career and Corporate Training at Virginia Western Community College from 2016 to 2023. Before that position, Dr. Hayward held positions as a guest scholar at Old Dominion University in Virginia, as executive director of grants and special projects for Northern Virginia Community College and as the director of a seven-college national consortium leading a “Credential to Careers” grant for Northern Virginia CC.

Additional positions at Northern Virginia Community College included those of Special Assistant in Academic Affairs for Career and Technical Education, Dean of Science and Applied Technologies and as the Program Director and Faculty in the Automotive Technology program.
