Overview
This program includes the study of the growth and development of young children as well as the planning, preparation and implementation of appropriate curriculum and environments for early childhood programs. The program provides students with opportunities to gain practical experience working with children in early childhood programs within the community.

This program has an articulation agreement with West Virginia University, meaning once students graduate, they can transfer seamlessly into the WVU Child Development and Family Studies bachelor degree program or into the Birth through Pre-Kindergarten teacher certification degree program.
Pierpont students will learn within the on-campus laboratory preschool.
Students will gain knowledge and experience in planning and preparing curriculums and assessments, which will prepare students to run their very own classrooms.
