Join us for our Summer Camps!

This summer, Pierpont’s Office of Career & Corporate Training is proud to partner with Sparkforce to offer our newest series of summer day camps. Each of our camps are designed for children aged 12-17 where they experience modern manufacturing by building and fixing. At camp, they receive hands on learning with our instructors, explore entrepreneurship, and meet top industry experts.

New this summer, we’re also launching our first series of continuing education camps designed specifically for K–12 educators. Participants gain hands-on experience, earn industry-recognized certifications, and leave with ready-to-use curriculum. In just a few days, educators build confidence and return equipped to expand opportunities for their students.

ArcReady: Virtual Reality Welding Camp
ArcReady introduces campers to the fundamentals of welding using immersive virtual reality technology. Campers practice welding techniques, equipment setup, and proper positioning in a safe, hands-on VR environment—no sparks or heat required. Students learn how welding supports modern manufacturing and skilled trades while building real-world safety awareness. Participants have the opportunity to earn NC3 Welding Safety certification issued by the college.

Fee: $150

Dates: August 3-6, 2026 | Register
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Smart Factory Mechatronics Camp
Smart Factory Mechatronics Camp immerses students in the world of modern manufacturing through hands-on mechatronics training. Campers program real industrial equipment, build automated systems, and see firsthand how today’s smart factories operate. Students learn how manufacturers use robotics, sensors, and controls to produce real products efficiently and safely. Participants can even earn industry-recognized certifications issued by the college, giving them a head start toward future careers in advanced manufacturing.

Fee: $150

Dates:

Session 1: June 22-26, 2026 | Register
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Register

Session 2: July 27 -31, 2026 | Register
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Escape the Code: VR Escape Room Design Camp
Students design and build their own virtual reality escape rooms, combining storytelling, puzzle logic, and immersive 3D environments. Along the way, they learn how coding drives real-world manufacturing systems—just like programming a VR experience, modern factories rely on software to automate processes, control machinery, and solve complex problems. By the end, campers see how creativity and code come together to power both virtual worlds and advanced manufacturing.

Fee: $125

Dates: June 22-24, 2026 | Register
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Tools of the Trades Camp

Tools of the Trades Camp introduces campers to essential hand tools and measurement techniques used across manufacturing and skilled trades. Campers learn proper tool selection, safe use, and accurate measuring through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios. In partnership with Snap-On, students gain exposure to industry-standard tools and best practices used by professionals. Participants have the opportunity to earn NC3 certifications issued by the college, giving them a strong foundation for future technical training and careers.

Fee: $150

Dates: July 13-16, 2026 | Register
