Pierpont Community & Technical College’s Office of Career and Corporate Training (CCT) offers accelerated programs designed to provide skill upgrades, stackable micro-credentials, and stand-alone certifications. By design, these programs connect and support meaningful career pathways that can move a participant from foundational level trainings into advanced certificate and degree programs. With direct input from business and industry, Career and Corporate Training collaborates to develop highly skilled workers poised for gainful employment, salary increases, and advancement.
Programs are offered based on workforce needs and can be delivered in a variety of ways including online, instructor-led and hybrid (a combination of face-to-face and online).
Career Training Programs
Trades and Technology
FAA Test Prep (General and Airframe)
This program prepares aircraft maintenance technicians to sit for the FAA’s General and Airframe mechanic certifications.

NC3/Industrial Manufacturing Technician Program
The program offers comprehensive training in mechanical systems, electrical components, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hand tool identification and safety, precision measurement instruments, hydraulics and pneumatics, and mechatronics.

Health Careers
AAPC Certified Professional Coder
This program prepares students with the skills and knowledge to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam and begin a career as a professional medical coder.

Basic Lifesaving Program
This program consists of a series of courses designed to provide students with the certification and skills necessary to provide lifesaving care until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. The series of courses in this program currently consists of the following options:
- Adult & Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED
- Stop the Bleed (Coming Soon)
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
This program prepares students with the skills and knowledge to take the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and begin a career as a Clinical Medical Assistant.
EKG Program
This program prepares students with the skills and knowledge to take the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified EKG Technician exam and start their career as an EKG/ECG technician.
EMT-Basic Program
This program provides students with the knowledge and skills to provide basic life support and emergency care, qualifying them to take the NREMT certification exam.
Phlebotomy Program
This program prepares students to take the American Medical Technology Phlebotomy Certification exam and start their career as a phlebotomist.
Point of Care Technician Program
This program prepares students to work with biological samples, perform medical laboratory testing, and sit for their POC Technician licensure exam.
TEAS Prep
This program is designed to help students prepare for the TEAS exam, so they can start their nursing career.


Essential Professional Skills
Landscape Bootcamp
This is a National Association of Landscape Professionals vetted program that consists of 40 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction, including 10 hours of OSHA certification training.
Mental Health First Aid
This program is designed to familiarize students with a variety of mental health diagnoses, common signs and symptoms that can be observed, as well as appropriate action steps to take when assisting someone who is experiencing a potential mental health crisis.
Microsoft Office Basics
This program introduces students to programs available in the Microsoft Suite. In addition to teaching the fundamentals, this course is designed to prepare students to take the Microsoft credentialing exams.


Community Education
Continuing Education is lifelong learning that extends beyond a degree or certificate program, ensuring professionals stay up-to-date with the latest knowledge in their fields.
Continuing Education programs are occupation-based and offer credentialed skills that today’s workforce needs to be effective and marketable. High demand occupations in healthcare, energy, and information technology, as well as entrepreneurs, are currently experiencing growth and need qualified workers. These programs are open to anyone wishing to achieve a recognized credential to start a career or advance in their profession.
Summer Camps (Welding, Manufacturing, Networking)
This series of weeklong summer camps invites students aged 11-16 to get hands-on experience in a wide variety of subjects, including welding, manufacturing, mechatronics, and networking.
