EKG/ECG Technician
The Electrocardiograph Technician operates the equipment that records and measures the activity of the heart. These recordings are used to assist the cardiologist and physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac problems. Learners in this course will study heart anatomy and physiology, focusing on normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms. Learners will perform ECGs in the student lab. ECG Technicians are employed in hospitals, clinics, sleep study centers and rehabilitation centers.
Students receive a textbook, classroom supplies, and a testing voucher included in the training cost.
Upon completion of the training, students will be eligible to sit for the Certified EKG Technician exam through NHA (National Healthcareer Association).
Training Cost: $1,200
Course payment is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.
Financial Aid is available for qualified applicants.
