Landscape Bootcamp

A landscape technician working.The Landscape Technician Bootcamp program is offered in partnership between Pierpont Community Technical College and the WV Nursery and Landscape Association (WVNLA). This is a National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) vetted course, which consists of 40 hours of both classroom instruction with hands-on exercises, including 10 hours of OSHA certification training. WVNLA- member instructors will guide students through various competency-based lessons, including, landscaping fundamentals/techniques, tree and shrub identification, pruning, turf fertilization, sod installation, tool identification/function, and above all – workplace safety. 

The Landscape Technician Bootcamp is held daily over one week at Pierpont Community & Technical College’s Advanced Technology Center. Up to 15 participants permitted per class.

Students receive Personal Protective Equipment and handouts.

Upon completion of the training, students will receive an OSHA 10 certification card and certificate of course completion. This training will prepare students to take the Landscape Industry Certified Technician Exam through NALP.

Exam cost is not included in the cost of the training tuition.

Training Cost: $650

Course payment is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.

Scholarships may be available to qualifying participants.
