Juanita Nickerson serves on the Board of Governors as the representative for Classified Staff.  Nickerson is a community college graduate and has been employed with Pierpont Community & Technical College for the past four years as an information system specialist. Prior to joining the Pierpont team, she worked in a medical office and as a daycare provider though the State of WV. 

Outside of work, Nickerson enjoys spending time with her family, and serving her church community as a youth leader. 

“As a board member, I have gained extensive information and understanding to the operational role and importance of what it entails.  Thru the experiences in my life both professionally and personally, I feel that I have been prepared in many ways to be able to serve effectively representing those that placed me in this role and will continue to do so passionately.  I have a passion to see successes in those wanting to better themselves and succeed in their lives, thriving and having many accomplishments.  The pride it places in the spirit is unremarkable.”
