Parks (she/her), a Clarksburg, WV native, is a Fairmont State College & WVU graduate and former remote student of Grambling State University. Parks designed and delivered the college’s Early Assessment program for area high schools and served as Associate Professor in first-year courses, including Composition Skills, College Reading & Study Skills, Freshman Orientation, and Sociology electives. From 2014 to 2019, Parks served as Director of Assessment & Academic Advising and from 2018-2019 as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet. In her current role, Parks acts as a resource for faculty in the design and delivery of curriculum and instruction and the institutional assessment of student learning, with a keen interest in making the college environment as inclusive as possible. Parks is also the coordinator and advisor of the Board of Governors AAS degree program, the State’s adult degree completion program. She is an active member of the Peer Review Corps of the Higher Learning Commission, a national accreditor for higher education.
