
Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician: Hybrid at ATC

6-Week Hybrid Format | May 10-June 14, 2025 | In-person class every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Electrocardiograph Technician operates the equipment that records and measures the activity of the heart. These recordings are used to assist the cardiologist and physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac problems. Learners in this course will study heart anatomy and physiology, focusing on normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms. Learners will perform ECGs in the student lab. ECG Technicians are employed in hospitals, clinics, sleep study centers and rehabilitation centers.
This course will have an in-person component at the Advanced Technology Center in Fairmont, WV. You will need to complete the Career and Corporate Training (CCT) Student Application.
Students receive a textbook, classroom supplies, and a testing voucher, all of which are included in the training cost. Upon completing the training, students will be eligible to take the Certified EKG Technician exam through the NHA (National Healthcareer Association). The exam cost is not included in the training tuition.
