FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Pierpont Community & Technical College has officially begun its search for the institution’s next president, aiming to find a visionary leader who will guide the college’s ongoing growth and dedication to student success.

The Presidential Search Committee, appointed by the Pierpont Board of Governors, includes representatives from faculty, classified and non-classified staff, students, business and industry, the Pierpont Foundation, and the local community. Anthony Hinton was named chair of the committee during the board’s September 23 meeting following an executive session.

The committee met on December 16 at the Advanced Technology Center to review the search timeline, communication plan, and procedures for candidate screening and interviews.
