Fairmont, W.Va. – Pierpont Community & Technical College, in partnership with the West Virginia Black Bears baseball team, will be hosting a “Night at the Ballpark” event on Tuesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m., for the game against the State College Spikes. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Free ticketing and reserved seating will be available to the first 70 members of the Pierpont campus community, including Pierpont alumni, faculty, staff, and current and prospective students.
“We want to give prospective and current students a fun and relaxed space to speak with members of the Pierpont team,” said Dr. Milan Hayward, president of Pierpont Community & Technical College. “As the new president, I am thrilled to meet as many of our students and community members as possible, so I encourage everyone to stop by and say hello.”
During the event, prospective students can learn more about Pierpont by speaking with administrators, admissions counselors, and financial aid members. Both current and prospective students can also be entered into a drawing to win a tuition waiver.
Promotional and educational items will be available at the gate, including t-shirts, game-exclusive stickers, and informational packets. Make sure to get to your seats early, as Dr. Hayward is throwing out the first pitch to open the game.
