Overview

The Applied Design Program in the School of Business, Aviation, & Technology is the only one in West Virginia that offers a variety of concentrations for an Associate of Applied Science degree focusing on the aesthetics of visual designs as seen in the fashion and interior environments. The courses are relevant to 21st Century design thinking approaches that are the foundation in successful design projects. If your interests range from decorating your retail store window to color forecasting or providing the interior design for a client, this may be the career path degree for you.

Pierpont’s Applied Design program has an open enrollment policy, meaning no prerequisites are required.

Pierpont’s Applied Design program has two concentrations that prepare students to excel in the design field: Fashion Merchandising, and Interior Design.

Our graduates are working for nationally recognized companies like Calvin Klein and Stitch Fix or have opened their own businesses, such as A&K Clothing and Uniquely Moore.

Admission

Pierpont is an open enrollment institution. Only a standard Pierpont application is needed for this program.
